The Experience

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

As an integral part of the London-based Dhamecha Group, our Export Division benefits from 35 years of experience in the UK grocery trade.

Over the years, our company have cultivated strong relationships with all of the major UK manufacturers and suppliers and have, as a result, developed an expertise in product knowledge across the categories of grocery, confectionery and non-foods. We offer access to over 25,000 major branded products for export throughout the world.

The Team

FRIENDLY, EXPERIENCED AND COMPETITIVE

Santokh Rahala heads up the Export Division which, just like the cash and carry business, blends a friendly, informal, personal touch with a high degree of professionalism.

We began the Export business 15 years ago and it has gradually evolved, through word of mouth, to become a significant player - with a presence on every major continent; and particular strengths in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

The Dhamecha Export Division also benefits from its parent company's membership of Today's – the biggest wholesale buying group in Europe – and is, in fact, the largest member of the Today's Group. This is reflected in the everyday competitive pricing levels we can provide across the various product ranges, as well as the regular deep-cut promotions we feature on a flexible basis – one-day offers, one week offers and three week offers.

We are delighted to invite our customers to visit us and take a tour of our warehouse. This allows us to demonstrate the vast product range, our competitive pricing and our current promotions.

The Approach

MAKING IT EASIER FOR THE CUSTOMER

As a company, Dhamecha have always set great store by our service to the customer. We aim to create a point of difference in many of the aspects of the ordering and collection procedure.

For example, we have very simple payment terms.

We deal with all the major UK suppliers to ensure that a full audit trail is always available – to safeguard our customers and give them peace of mind.

Orders are assembled at either of Wembley or Watford branches – both of which are London-centric; within the M25 – and we are able to recommend particular London hauliers for specific countries of destination. These hauliers are chosen for their flexibility when it comes to service levels - usually being able to collect on a daily basis.

You are more than welcome to be present at the branch to supervise the assembly of the order and have it loaded to your own specification.

In addition to free-of-charge pallet-loading, we also offer, for a small charge, a 'hand-balling' facility which can often work out cheaper in the long-run by getting more product into the container, reducing the amount of movement of stock in transit and allowing for a double-check on product as they are loaded.

We are also able to allow part-filled containers to arrive at our branch to be 'topped up' with products ordered from ourselves.
